WOW! I can't believe I'm graduating next FRIDAY! aaaaaahhhhhhhhhhhhh... I am so overwelhmed its ridiculous! I have 2 more papers, a portfolio to hand in and a project and then IM DONNEEE... if only it was that easy! On top of that, I need to move AGAIN, so I'm looking for apartments in the Bronx, just one more thing I don't need added onto this stress! I have this cool project I'm working on for my video art class, but I'm kinda doing it for myself too. It's just so random but its hilarious and I can't wait to post it on YouTube and on here! As of right now I really have no projects to post up on here besides my papers and I'm sure you don't wanna read those!:P So for now check out my youtube channel, read my blog, hey follow me on twitter (GraceyyMayy) and continue to watch out for me... and new videos to come!!!

wait... 3 WEEKS!?

Wow... the pressure is on! It's crazy how overwhelmed I am with work right now. Papers, projects, everything... its too much! I can still see the diploma! uuuughhh I just want it to get here ahora! I sleep well but then the next night I'm just so exhausted from everything. So this Hood Real World thing took unexpected turn, hopefully for the good. I really wanted to do a music video with everyone in it, and my character rapping. But I couldn't get everyone (aka nobody) together to do it. So instead I decided to do an animation of each character in flash, and Ill rap over the animation. So far I think it looks hot but I have a lot of work to do on it and it's just another thing to add to the list. Well I don't have a preview of that so for tonights post I'm gonna throw up the last four videos from the project.

Kaycee: She's the jock. She beats up on all the guys, and bullies them. She doesn't care too much for the girls, the boys are her target!

Migulito: He's the immigrant that nobody cares about. He swears everyone is racist against him but they're not! He doesn't really talk to anyone because he's afraid they will offend him.

Carlton: He's the major druggie. He's always high on something, and if he's not high then he's looking to get high. Oh yeah, did we mention that he DRINKS OUTTA TOLIETS?! grossss

Jaylah: The gossip girl of the house. She knows everything about every. She's all up in everybody's business, yet she will go crazy if you try and get in hers.

Wow I'm tired! Bedtime!

Hola! So its Wednesday and I'm sooo swamped with work its ridiculous. I have so many papers and projects and they keep on piling up... arrrrrrgh! Okay, so this Hood Real World thing is def. still a work in progress. I want to keep elaborating on it as much as possible. So for this posting I'm gonna post the three best characters. The first one is Maria (played by me... I'm not bias or anything!:P) She's the Italian "rapper" from the South Bronx. She thinks shes a hard ass, and she also thinks EVERYONE likes her. But nobody really does.

The next is Hi-Way. He's the fake thug. He's pretty scary. Always trying to fight someone, but hes on the phone every night crying to his mommy.

And then theres Amber. She's so dumb! She doesn't understand anything at all! Nobody can really have a conversation with her because they don't understand her dumbness!

Well well well
This week has gone by super fastttttttttttt! I can't wait for graduation! I just wanna start my career and be done with school forever man. I gave up chocolate for lent, and Easter is this Sunday, so I can't wait to eat my face full of chocolate:). I'm really excited about my new job, I just kind of wish I could move out of the Bronx and live in city or Brooklyn, but hey it's a good job and I can't be picky of the location right now. Enough of that, lets see... The hood real world is pretty much finished, its up on youtube. I wasn't satisified with the outcome of all the videos so I taped a couple over and edited others. I'm really not ready to show you the outcome completely yet, hopefully by tonight or tomorrow I will and then I will post the videos on here. So stay tuned and hopefully this weekend I will be posting it up here, as well as some other work.

a job!? A JOB!

Yessss! I got a job for after graduation! I will be working at a marketing company in White Plains training to be a manager! I'm very lucky considering the economy right now. I start two days after graduation so that doesn't give me much of a break, but hey its a job and money! woooo! I'm still working on this the HOOD Real World project, I have more than half the videos up on youtube, and I'm prob. going to finish it this afternoon. It's coming out well, I think I had way higher expectations for it. I didn't want it to just be a class project but something fun I did with my friends. Regardless it'll hopefully be good. So for today I've decided to post a video I did 2 years ago for one of my video classes. It was the first video I ever did so the quality is not great, but heyyyy I'm still proud of it. It's a documentary on my ADD (Attention Deficit Disorder). I'm not longer on medication but during that time I was. I went off my meds just for the week or so while I was filming just to show people how ADD I really was without my medication. Well time to go edit! ENJOYYYYYY!

Tired? Prob the biggest understatement ever! This week has been a mess! I had an interview with a marketing company on monday... went well! Have my second interview tomorrow where I actually shadow somebody for a whole day, so we'll see. I've been getting call backs on my resume, so it's pretty exciting. I just hope I can land one of them.

Anyways, like I said I've been working on this 'Real World' project and as much as I really do want to work on it, I have no time, and when I do have time I'm so exhausted! Hopefully today I can get a lot of it done. My friends are so great and the characters they play are outrageous, and I can't wait to post it on here!

Well, I've been saying for a while that I would post some of my photography on here so here are two of them...

This one is of a steam pot that's located on my campus. It looks better in the actual picture but I was really proud of this picture and I still really like it.

I'm pretty sure you can tell what this one is without me telling you:P

I know I haven't blogged in over a week, everything has just been crazy! I'm very excited about the current project I'm working on for my video class. I'm doing a paraody of "The Real World" called "The HOOD Real World" I took six of my friends, and myself and gave everyone a character. Every season of the show its always set in a beautiful house somwhere. My version is set in the South Bronx in a small apartment. Most of my friends are great actors and actresses and have made this project really fun, and I want to develop more on it past this class. I prob have another week to go until I'm completely finished with it and am really excited to post it on here when I'm done! Tomorrow- or even later tonight I will be posting up some of my Photography so take a look!

Wheeeeewww!!!!!! What a week! I have been soooo sick, and today I finally feel normal again! I have been a little behind on my postings but I promise I will get caught up next week (spring break!) For today I decided to do a little animoto video and display a few images of the work I have done, and some of the modeling I have done in the past. Well i didn't put up those pictures, but I'm sure I will sometime in the future... Life has been pretty crazy lately... stressful... I think my topic of complaining about commuting is slowly falling off seeing as its just another everyday thing for me. The thing that has been weighing heavily on my mind is graduation and how I'm gonna be able to find a job after I graduate. Well I'm getting a little ahead of myself but I already started applying for jobs. I even had a call back for an interview, but they needed someone to start now so their keeping my resume on file until may... lets hopppeeeee!!

I want to work in the advertising/marketing fields, but within the creative aspect of it. I can do anything from video to graphic design. I love working in illustrator and photoshop. My dream job would be designing billboards for top products at the present time. I know I'll have to work hard and work my way up to do that.

So, I've decided every time I post I'll put up a piece of work I've done, or maybe even something I'm currently working on, to give you an idea of what I can do and what I'm about.

This was a project I did a couple years ago in one of my classes. I did my version of a subway map of all the places I went in the course of a few days. I would like to work on this deeper to create something better and bigger than this. I'm not crazy about the icons, but I'd like to further develop on this project.

So this week has been BANANAS!!!! I have done soo much work man. I had two papers due today and I feel like thats all I've been doing. Not too many commuting problems this week other than a crazy bus driver but thats another story. I don't have much to say for this week however last weekend I saw my bestie and her baby and I have mucho pictures to post up and I will do that this evening... stay tunnnnneeddd...:)

Yeah we all know how I complain non stop about commuting, and it wont stop:P This week, well yeah I know its only Tuesday, but its been very strange so far. I feel like I have accomplished nothing when I really have. Monday's are super long for me, I'm up at school from 9am til 10pm and I don't want to complain about classes because other than my lit classes I actually enjoy them. My video class is prob my fav, mainly because I love editing and working on videos, and for me ragging on Purchase all the time, the video labs they have on campus are great and the editing software is too. Anyways yeah yesterday was LONG DAY and on the way to the train station @ 10pm(uuuugh) the shuttle bus was in the process of breaking down(scurrrrrry!!!!!) but I made it home aliiiiiiiive:D
Today I only have one class and its four hours, so I came up to campus and the professor walks in saying "I am canceling class, I am not prepared to teach today" WHAT!?!?!?!?!?!?! I COMMUTED FOR NO REASON!?!?!?! thats all I will say on that!!!!
lets moveeee on to the commuting a little bit more but away from Purchase (for now:P)
I was like ok I'm out of class early (no class at all) so I'll go to union square and go to Trader Joe's or Whole Foods (never go to union square during rush hour or either store during those hours... BAD IDEA!!!!)
after leaving the store I took the 4 train uptown express... THE MOST AWKWARD 45 MINS OF MY LIFE!!!! I couldn't move the whole time, I had some creeper staring at me and kept pushing against me and I felt like I was in a sauna- a gross sweaty smelly sauna (well I guess thats what they are tho right?:P) I finally made it to Yankee stadium and felt like I could finally breathe... so I'm waiting and waiting and waiting for the D train... the B passes... passes again... keeps passing... WHERE IS THE D!?!?!!?!?!? I look up *D TRAIN DOES NOT RUN DURING PM RUSH HOURS* duuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuuurrrrrrrrrrr

Sick of it

I am so sick of public transportation, esp when its not on time! I've had so many problems commuting to school this week and being screwed out of a way to get there. Was sick all weekend and still running into the week, only week four and its not getting any easier!

hmmm... where do I start?
I commute every week day-all five days:( from the boogie down Bronx:P
This is only my second semester commuting, and I've never been up here five days a week before, taking five classes and working... ugh its exhausting! It doesn't help that this campus is so boring.
I'm graduating in 3 months and the only thing getting me through this crazy semester is that I can picture my diploma... from the lettering to my name at the top... yessssssssssss

is it really only the third week?
